About Our Calculations

RashiSetu uses the Swiss Ephemeris library with Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa for all planetary calculations. This is the same standard used by the Indian government's official panchang. Our calculations are accurate to within 1 arc-second for modern dates.

However, astrological interpretation is inherently subjective. Different schools of Vedic astrology may interpret the same planetary positions differently. Our interpretations follow mainstream Parashari Jyotish principles but may not align with all traditions.

Dosha Analysis

Mangal Dosha and Nadi Dosha analyses on RashiSetu follow classical rules. However, many experienced astrologers consider additional factors (cancellation conditions, overall chart strength) that our automated tools cannot fully account for. A dosha result from our tool should be verified with a qualified Jyotish practitioner before drawing conclusions.
